BRAIN STORMING:

CONFUSION
CLUMSINESS
PRESENCE/ABSENCE
STATES OF MIND/PERCEPTION
working with different states of presence and absence

two people trying to construct a theatrical scene together...they seem to be together in the same reality, but somewhere they are slightly not in the same, so the almost meet but never meet. i am curious about the ALMOST.

THE THEATER AND ITS THEATRICALITY
how theatrical can we be?
deconstruction of the theatrical frame..what is theatricality?

THE IDEA OF CREATING A "TOUCHY" PIECE: BEING PATHETIC
"we want to evoke pure feelings in the audience.
we want to be authentic in what we are doing. a touching piece for heart and soul."

true and fake
the artificial

REPRESENTATION, EXPERIENCE, PERCEPTION
to represent a certain image, idea, state in opposition to actually "being" or experiencing that state.
Seems that 95% of ours behaviors and perceptions are patterns, we are conditioned how to interpret and construct the reality around us. We constantly live with a lot of expectations about the next moment. A decontamination, a deconstruction of perception can be equivalent with freedom and can start by going out from representations in an nowhere land - in ambiguity, confusion, fog. When the process of making sense from what you do (see) is impaired, something is out of the scheme (pattern), out of expectations.

ways of doing it: ad more layers at the same behavior, do behaviors (movements) out of the context and out of representation, changing the presence without reason, changing the 'normal' rapport with objects, actions and with your body, changing the attitude about what you are doing, etc.

DEATH
the idea of endless dying. the drama of dying. Different ways of dying, different aesthetics of dying.
various death scenes came to mind:..we are shooting each other endlessly, no one wants to die before the other..even if already almost dead we keep on shooting..(maybe in the back a voice is directing the scene, "more to the left..more to the right ...one, two three..dead").

COMMENTING ON OUR ACTIONS

PRETENTIOUSNESS
art as a tool of pretending

ART BEYOND ITS CONTEXT
we are interested in actions, situations, experiences when art goes further than the context or frame we are used to.
when an artistic action inflicts in "real" life situation, and has influence in social public behavior?
- creating fictional characters in "real life", like florin becoming a candidate for the presidential elections in Romania.

research material to take to residency:
- dramatic, pathetic music..wim mertens,
- fischli and weiss films
- the conman documentary of fanni
- artifical objects..fake things..costumes..
- lots of music and films, books about hysteria, states, confusion, the real and the fake..natural and artifical, beckett books and films

fanni: "my idea was to extend this concept of confusion and also work with the idea of clumsiness..
I also like this kind of clumsiness..
florin: and the confusion still remain my favorite
plain tickets around the 15th april
is it you or me writing what we are writing?
of course
florin."I like how we cannot control entirely the text result (SPACE FOR ARBITRARY THINGS THAT MIGHT APPEAR)
yes, its incredible..i am not sure from where these words come
and do i have to press enter? not necessary
"some semi-official invitation for applying for plain tickets"
thats a nice project title i also like this kind of titles
what you mean?
in which direction you want to extend confusion?
"what i mean about the issue of clumsiness in relation of confusion,: is the LACK OF CONTROL
two days ago i saw thiS performance of g.B., which was semi interesting but had some interesting things about it.
it was the same principle that you could use for the confusion..making an effort to do something, but always failing..
like when the aim is too far, the conditions too difficult that you cannot reach..
(sorry, find it hard to express myself clearly on this paper right now)
i mean principle in the sense of "shifting away from the norm", confusion only exists because there is clarity.
no I think that i understand

"What i propose is to work with different ways of creating confusion, I mean is not necessarily to have the same approach.
yes, in the contrary it could be interesting to have different approaches..
you know, what i find interesting about this confusion thing and also i like about the clumsiness, is that it can be so close to the clarity and so close to the order..

"I think is necessary that everything we do to be close to something readable but actually to produce a distortion in the mechanisms of producing the meaning
(you mean concrete actions?) (something that apparently can be interpreted, read, translate but something always to not make sense)
its always just a little too much, or too little, always a little on the side..
confusion is also interesting in the sense of putting two people together, but each of them in their own reality..two "realities" that exist parallel to each other but dont meat...there is an effort to communicate, but the understanding stays far.
(i like this parallel thing...parallel minds, parallel ways of thinking...in opposition to minds that cross, thoughts that cross each other)
I'm also interested in creating an ambiguity from not...?
